chris becker - life pastor

Chris grew up in Pittsburgh, PA where he and his family attended Monroeville Assembly of God. Chris graduated from Grove City College in 1996 with a BS in Financial Management. After graduating Chris got married to his beautiful and talented wife Darcy and they moved to Charlottesville. Chris worked for SNL Financial in the Banking Sector for nearly 8 years, where he finished as the Bank & Thrift Accounting Manager.

Chris and Darcy began attending cfa in 2001. Chris was elected to be a member of the cfa board in 2002. Following the Lord's leading to go into full time ministry, he came on staff at cfa in December, 2004 to become cfa's Life Pastor. As the Life Pastor, Chris focuses on the systems and processes within cfa. Chris oversees the small groups at cfa, the host team, guest assimilation, the maintenance of the facility, organizing upcoming events, and deals with many other areas of church life within cfa. He enjoys getting people plugged in and supported!

Chris has two daughters, Aleya and Teylan. The girls love making chocolate chip pancakes with dad on Saturday mornings. You can catch Chris and Darcy volunteering at their daughter's school or enjoying football in the fall, especially if it's the Pittsburgh Steelers!
