Ministry Opportunities at cfa

At cfa, we believe that serving in ministry is a necessary facet of the full-lived Christian life.
Without members of the body serving in various ministries, the functionary of the Body will
diminish, and the Church will have limited success at reaching out and being vessels for God's Spirit
to work in our own lives and in the lives of others.
There are many ministries available at cfa where your natural talents and gifts can be used and
expanded! Not only do we want you to use the gifts that you have, but we also want those gifts
to be increased as you are challenged to use them in new ways. The following includes information
about the various ministries available at cfa, as well as the people to contact if you are interested
in getting involved.

Host Team
Greet those who attend cfa on Sunday mornings at the door! Be the smiling, welcoming face that is the first impression of many who attend cfa for the first time. Also serve as an usher during the services.

Sound/Media Technology
The Worship Team is in need of volunteers willing to learn and run the powerpoint technology on Sunday mornings, as well as the sound board. The program for powerpoint, SongShow Plus, is user-friendly. This is a unique opportunity to serve at cfa!

Video Production Team
Those passionate about the growing video ministry at cfa are needed for creating storyboards, capturing footage, and editing footage. cfa will provide opportunities to get educated on this technology.

Upstream Youth Ministries
Interested in being on the youth team? One-on-one interaction and discipleship of students, as well as small group leadership during youth group, are only some of the opportunities you'll have.

KIDS Ministry Team
Be a small group leader, classroom helper, large group presenter, worship leader, or greeter. We're looking for those who love kids and desire to see them plug into Jesus.

Nursery
Snuggle, pray, play, laugh! Journey with these little ones as they embark on their own adventure trails that lead to Jesus.

Worship Team
The worship team is always looking for talented instrumentalists with a heart for Spirit-led worship! Please note that vocalists are desired to also play an instrument, and that informal auditions are required.

Prayer Team
An on-line prayer team that receives prayer requests from cfa's website visitors and from prayer cards that are filled out at cfa. Individuals from the prayer team also rotate praying during the Sunday morning services.

Guest Follow-Up & Assimilation Team
cfa is looking for a team of people to help shape and carry out the goal of welcoming and following up with new guests that have attended cfa.

Building Maintenance/Events
Assist in cleaning the building, landscaping, and other special projects. Help set-up and take-down for special events.

Barnabus & Senior Home Services
A team within cfa whose goal is to reach out in Christian love and encouragement through hospital and home visits, cards, phone calls, and e-mails.

Care Ministry
Newly forminig ministry focusing on a network of communication that would facilitate matching needs with those who can provide, in order to increase care and love between church members.

Women's Ministry
cfa Women's Ministry exists to encourage women to passionately live and grow in Jesus Christ. PLease join us at our weekly Bible study, monthly fellowship times, quarterly events, or our annual retreat.

Cariss
If you're a young adult, we'd love to have you! The goal of Cariss is to provide a place for you to meet with other young adults and for all of us to build community through the relationships made. Monthly events scheduled, as well as informal gatherings.

Missionettes
An international girls club for ages 3 and up. Children earn badges and awards, and classes meet each Wednesday @ 6:30pm. Teach a class, be a helper, or provide supplies for activities and meetings.

An international boys club for ages 3 and up. Children earn badges and awards, and classes meet each Wednesday @ 6:30pm. Provide snacks, supplies, and financial support, or be a commander or assistant commander.
